Project/Event Worker

Under the general direction of the Executive Director of Operations, as an essential employee, the Project/Event Worker will be assigned to one of the three departments within Operations (Grounds, Custodial, and Maintenance) as needed. Once assigned, the Project/Event Worker will commonly provide routine grounds maintenance, custodial, and maintenance functions and any other duties assigned.

Head Cross Country Coach

The Head Coach will develop, implement and manage the overall day-to-day operations of the women’s Cross Country program, including teaching skills and strategies for the specific sport during practice and games in the traditional and non-traditional seasons. Additionally, this role will also assist the Director of Athletic Communications/Marketing at Salem College with promoting and publicizing the Department of Athletics.

Maintenance Technician II HVAC

Under the general direction of the Executive Director of Operations, as an essential employee, the Maintenance Technician II HVAC reports directly to the Lead Maintenance Technician. The position is responsible for maintaining and repairing all types of commercial and residential HVAC-R equipment, monitoring automated control systems, changing filters and belts, cleaning drains, working with high and low-voltage wiring, working with control wiring, troubleshooting any HVAC-R equipment, working to establish a preventative maintenance schedule/system for all HVAC-R equipment.

Graduate Assistant - Athletics (Soccer, Tennis, Basketball, Swimming)

The Athletic Graduate Assistant will serve as an assistant coach (Soccer, Tennis, Basketball, Swimming).

Registrar

The Registrar provides leadership and oversight to all aspects of the Office of the Registrar. The Registrar plays a critical role in the academic operations by effectively managing the maintenance and integrity of all student academic records, the approved curriculum, the creation and maintenance of course schedules, all areas of student registration and the recording and reporting of grades, compliance with FERPA regulations, and the establishment and maintenance of processes for the equitable and consistent administration of policies and procedures as they relate to registration and academic record keeping. The Registrar must provide strong leadership consistent with the academic goals and mission of the institution.  The Registrar is a 12-month, full-time staff position.

Assistant Professor of Exercise Science

This non-tenure track position is a faculty member with undergraduate teaching expertise in
exercise science, and scholarly expertise in a field related to exercise science, who will also
support Salem’s new health-related academic programs. The Assistant Professor of Exercise
Science will demonstrate a commitment to educating a diverse student body and facilitating
efforts in diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Part-Time Public Safety Officer

The Public Safety Officer is an essential employee who reports directly to the Director of Public Safety and will be responsible for all security activities involving campus patrol, requests for service, opening/closing of facilities, responding to emergency calls, parking requests, and monitoring, and all other duties as assigned.

The Part-time Public Safety Officer will work Friday – Monday, Day Shift. This is an unarmed security position.
