Desmond Hines
Clinical Practicum Student
Desmond is currently working towards his Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Wake Forest University under the supervision of Casey Houseknecht. Desmond has previous experience working with college students as a resident advisor at UNC Greensboro, fostering his passion of working with and advocating for young adults and adolescents, with a special interest in supporting those a part of marginalized communities. Desmond is a firm believer in the power of utilizing empathy and active listening from a client-centered therapy perspective and he is very excited to be here at Salem (hope to see YOU soon!!).
Fun Facts – Desmond has always loved horses/horseback riding (and still “secretly” wants to be a cowboy), is a huge fan of r&b music, and loves to roller skate whenever he can.
