Ashley Halsey is a freshman majoring in education. She fell in love with Salem while visiting her older sister, Sydney, last semester. Initially undecided, Ashley found through her classes and volunteer experiences that she would like to pursue education. She currently tutors with Heart Math Tutoring, a program that gives young students successful experiences in math through one-on-one, volunteer-delivered tutoring during the school day. Ashley is also a member of Salem’s Campus Activity Board, and works in the library for her work study. She is pursuing education so she can help others grow confident. With just one semester under her belt, Ashley is already doing remarkable things.
