Salem College Ranked Among Best Liberal Arts Colleges in the Nation
WINSTON-SALEM, NC (JAN. 29, 2024)-Recognized by U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges 2024, Washington Monthly College Rankings 2023, and the New York Times Magazine as one of America’s top liberal arts colleges, Salem College is the clear leader for giving students a pathway to leadership and career success.

Many recent rankings highlight how effective Salem College has been at enrolling and graduating students from diverse economic and social backgrounds. New York Times Magazine ranked Salem College No. 2 for economic diversity, a reflection of Salem’s innovative scholarships, leadership training, and commitment to ensure that a Salem degree is accessible and affordable.

Washington Monthly also ranked Salem as the No. 24 liberal arts college in the U.S. overall. Other notable rankings include Forbes’ selection of Salem College as a ‘Top 10 pick for online school counseling master’s programs.’ Salem’s school counseling program prepares students to become licensed school counselors, a career in high demand across North Carolina and the nation. Forbes also recognized Salem College as one of the best online master’s in educational leadership programs.
